Wray Mason
Wray Mason has been immersed in the golf industry for most of his life, beginning with childhood adventures collecting golf balls after school at the Brights Grove course in Ontario—famously known as Mike Weir’s first course. At just 12 years old, he gained his first hands-on experience working a summer on a new nine-hole course built by his uncle near Cambridge, ON. His early passion for golf was matched with formal studies in Mechanical (Solar) Engineering at Humber College in Toronto.
Wray began his career as a Junior Engineer at John Brooks in Mississauga, ON, where he spent 15 years in the Agricultural Division as a technical representative for TeeJet and Hypro. In 1996, he transitioned into the golf industry with Turf Care (Toro), developing and managing their new Agronomic Division. By 2001, he launched his own business focused on calibrating golf sprayers and supplying parts and technology directly to golf courses. After selling the business to Allturf in 2019, he managed their spray division for three years.
In 2023, Wray chose to scale back slightly while continuing to contribute to the industry he loves. He founded a new business representing several parts suppliers directly to golf courses, while still offering calibrations and troubleshooting services within 100 km of home. With decades of experience and a lifelong connection to the game, Wray remains a trusted resource and innovator in turfgrass management.
