Effect of Irrigation Rates and Frequencies on Tall Fescue Ecosystem Services

Date, Time & Location TBA

Session Summary

Drought tolerance in turfgrass species and optimal irrigation strategies are key to addressing the need for water conservation in our landscapes. However, reducing or illuminating irrigation may compromise the eco-system service turfgrass is known to produce. This presentation will discuss the effects of varying irrigation rates and no irrigation on the eco-system services (visual quality and color, weed cover, carbon sequestration, surface temperature and nitrogen leaching).
