Session Summary

Pesticides have played a critical role in turf management for decades by effectively controlling a wide range of pests. However, growing concerns about potential environmental impacts and human health risks have led to the re-evaluation and subsequent loss of several pesticide products—particularly in Canada and other like-minded jurisdictions. This presentation will provide a brief overview of pesticides recently lost through regulatory re-evaluation, examine the evolving direction and future trends in pesticide registration, and highlight current alternative disease management strategies available to Canadian turf managers.
